Vegan Chocolate Cake

Wanna impress somebody with a hearty homemade chocolate cake? Try this simple vegan chocolate cake and we guarantee everyone's gonna love it. It is so delicious and so chocolatey from inside out, nobody will believe it's actually vegan

Directions:


Preheat the oven to 200C. Mix together all the dry ingredients and in a separate bowl all the wet ingredients.

Add wet the wet mixture to the dry one. Do not over mix. Pour in the mixture into a greased cake tin. Bake for 35-40 minutes (test with a toothpick). Let it cool down for 10 mins. 
For the icing:

Melt chocolate in a bowl over a pan with simmering water. Add coconut milk, margarine and brandy. Pour the mixture evenly over the cake and cool in the fridge for at least an hour. Decorate with handful of berries and coconut flakes. Indulge!

Ingredients:


200g of whole-wheat flour
170g of cane sugar
55 g of cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp of cider vinegar
1 tsp vanilla essence
110 ml of vegetable oil (coconut oil is recommended)
230ml of any plant-based milk (water will work as well)
100g of dark chocolate

 

Icing:


200g of dark chocolate 
30ml of coconut milk
55 g of vegan margarine 
2 tsp of Cherry brandy
