For the Bolognese sauce:
1Tablespoon of olive oil
2 medium onions, peeled and chopped
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
300 g lean minced beef
300 g chopped tomatoes
1 Tablespoon tomato ketchup
Salt and ground black pepper
1 Tablespoon dried oregano or mixed herbs
To serve:
350g spaghetti
Freshly grated Cheese
1. Put the onion and oil in a large pan and fry over a fairly high heat for 3-4 mins. Add the garlic and mince and fry until they both brown. Add the tomatoes, beef,tomatoes and ketchup.Stir for 10 min. Add small glass of water and bring to the boil, then reduce the heat, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30 mins.
2. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in a large pan of boiling, salted water. Drain well and put it in the pan and add of dried oregano or mixed herbs if you like, then stir a bit.
3. Serve in hot bowls and hand round cheese, for sprinkling on top.
