Chilli con Carne

Ingredients
2 onions
400 g minced meat
2 tablespoons tomato puree
2 tomato cans
5 finely chopped garlic cloves
5 chopped sun-dried tomatoes
2 carrots chopped into small cubes
2 cans of beans
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp coriander
1-2 chilli (or as many as you dare but one is minimum)
2 teaspoons chilli powder ( to taste )
2 chopped peppers
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons brown sugar
Directions
The best way to start is to chop everything and have it ready in small bowls. This dish has quite a lot of ingredients, so by having everything ready you avoid stress and possibly forgetting something.
Start with the onion in a saucepan and fry them shiny using oil. When that is ready, add the meat and turn the heat down. Add the tomato cans, sun-dried tomatoes, tomato puree and salt. After about 15 minutes add the carrots along with the two cans of beans of your choice. Carrots provide sweetness and brings a little extra resistance. Here you also add brown sugar, chilli and the other spices. The chilli should be finely chopped and without the seeds. Lastly you add the peppers (chopped into large chunks and straight into the pot without frying). The temperature should not be very high, and it is important to stir the pot regularly. There are a number of "heavy elements" that sinks to the bottom fairly quickly.
Simmer slightly for about 45-50 minutes. Serve with bread or baguette.
This meal is even better the day after it´s been made, and it is suitable for freezing.
