Westeros Chicken

Are you a Game of Thrones fan? Feast like your favourite character with our medieval recipe, but make sure to slice the chicken, not someones throat.
Westeros Chicken with potato gratin and pastry is a cheap way how to feed your necks and keep your stomach satisfied:

Main course:

Ingredients:
Chicken
Lots of salt
2 Potatoes
Cream
Garlic
Salt + Pepper
Thyme
Butter
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Rinse chicken, cover it with salt and place it in the middle of a baking plate.
Meanwhile cut potatoes into small slices.
Pour cream on pan, add garlic, thyme, salt and pepper and let it cook to 1/3 of its original volume.
Take the garlic out and add potatoes.
Stir well.
Once cream starts to get thicker add some butter and parmesan cheese, make sure you take it out of the heat.
Place mixture into small baking bowls.
Cook with chicken for about 45 minutes to 180 degrees.

Pastry:

Ingredients:
pastry/dough that can be bough in store
pecan nuts
maple syrup
sugar
apple jam
egg

Directions:
Roll the dough until it is about 1,5 cm thick and cut it in quarters.
Take one quarter and divide it into imagined thirds.
Fill up the middle third with apple jam, and pecan nuts.
Cut remaining 2/3 into small strips still connected with the middle third.
Knit strips over one another, add some pecan nuts on top and cover it with egg (for nice gloss).
You can take the remaining parts of dough and grit it with sugar.
Bake in the oven.
Once you take it out, pour it with maple syrup and there you go!
